Fashion Coos Reviews: Tea Collection

i have always seen tea collection around and even featured a few pieces here and there, but i always considered it more of a graphic tee kind of company. boy was i wrong!

it turns out that every season tea collection gathers inspiration from a different country: west africa, japan, norway, and this fall, mexico. their designers travel to that country, eat the food, learn about the textiles, meet the people and take photos. then return home and create modern practical children's clothing full of the spirit of that place. pretty cool?

tea sent me a few pieces to check out. everything is of the highest quality: solid construction and thick cotton. the kind of clothing you feel good about putting your kid in, but you won't have a heart attack if they roll around in the dirt with it on. a wide selection for boys and a lot of great unisex pieces from basics like the purity tee and snuggly pajamas to cardigan sweaters and dark wash denim. this mama loves tea!

We have several of their dresses too.  It really is well made!

  2. It's pretty much all I buy for my 5 yo.  He likes elastic waists and tagless shirts so these are comfy and cute for him.  Have I complained to you yet about the school uniforms we have to get now though?! So depressing.

i love their prints on the jammies, but i hate how the dark printed colors show the white cotton through when it's stretched since it's printed on white - it makes them look old and worn out on the first wear!  after one round of those, i am sticking with hanna for pj's.  but the rest of their collection is great...

right?  those hannas look brand new forever!  and are totally worth the investment, considering they last at least twice as long as gap or old navy, and are much nicer and wear better.  there's nothin' sadder than grubby jammies!
